Pietro Valenti is the founder and Managing Director of Pangea Fabrics and Consulting.
He graduated in Computer Science at the University of Milan and his software background helped in many projects related to planning, costs cutting and production control.
He ran a family business textile company for more than 15 years before moving on with the Pangea project.
In 2008 he moved in India from Italy and he still lives with his family in Bengaluru.
He has deep knowledge of the industry in this country and keeps contacts with major players, both in fabric and garment manufacturing.
He was instrumental in the Pangea India project and took care for six years of the marketing operations and production of the plant.

His main areas of intervention are product development, marketing and quality assurance.
Moreover, he is the person of the team normally involved in projects related to new investments.

Franco Lualdi co/operation with Pangea dates back to 2012.
A dyeing chemistry graduate as background, he started his career as a dyeing manager in 1974.
From 1988 to 1999, he was general manager processing in three different process houses in the north of Italy.
In 2000 he started up and run for 8 years a new dyeing plant with the designation of General manager operations, taking care of all aspects of the mill, from planning, raw material procuring and contacts with customers. His technial knowledge in dyeing all sorts of fibers is precious to the team.

He now takes care of techncialc dyeing problems and pre treatment.

Leonardo Bertola started co/operating with Pangea in 2008, when the new indian mill was commissioned.
Leonardo is the expert in special finishes of the team.
He has been running his own coating business for two decades and then started consulting in the same field.
He also runs a software house as a side activity.

He is the man who comes into the picture whenever coating or special finishes are required.

S.S.Narayanan joined Pangea team in 2014.
S.S.Narayanan is our Spinning expert, with 33 years of experience in the industry in India and abroad.
He has run as head of the production many mills and took to excellence companies which were struggling to get good realisations and profits.
He is also a Six Sigma Master black belt and a Lean Production expert, certified by the most prestigious organizations.
His career and academic awards tell all about his proficiency in his domain.

Whenever spinning or Lean production systems are the matters on the table, he is our man.

Silvano Povolo takes care of the presentation of Pangea collections since 2007.
Silvano is our laundry and garment dyeing expert, taking care of whatever request and project, when expertise in garment washing and special garment finishes is required.
He has ten years experience as technician and manager in laundrys and garment dying units in Italy. He then moved this experience and served as manager for garment finishes in Fashion Box spa (Replay) for ten years more. He is now running his own consultancy business. We owe him all our presentation “hot stuff”: garments, mocks and hangers.

The collaboration between Pietro Valenti and Lucia Crivellaro dates back to the ’90s, when Lucia was the main designer for Valman home linen division.
Together, we developed software rendering tools when they were still novelty in the industry.
Lucia recently joined Pangea, bringing in our team her creativity and deep knowledge of the technology for prints and yarn dyed fabrics both in home linen and garments.

Umberto started the collaboration with Valman and then Pangea in 2002. A muse for whatever regarded washing and laundry, he was many times the inspiration for new Product Development and to enlarge our network in the Italian Textile Industry.
Nowadays, Pangea is proud to continue this collaboration with Umberto and his new venture MYR, a truly new game changer in the value addition process to the garmenting and design industry.
